SPU Honors is also a close-knit community of students and faculty members committed to academic excellence in a spirit of dialogue, 协作, 智力好客. • A minimum of 50 credits is required for this major, 包括25个高年级学分.

• Non-honors学生s may petition to enroll in individual honors courses with 的 approval of 的 Honors Director and relevant faculty member(s).

Formal application and admission to 的 SPU荣誉计划 is required prior to enrollment in 的 文科荣誉 major or minor.

You may apply for admission to Honors at anytime, using 的 在线荣誉申请材料 for incoming first-year or transfer students, as well as currently enrolled SPU students. 

To meet 的 minimum requirements for admission, you must:

• 表现出智力上的野心 and a track record of academic success (which will vary depending on 的 applicants’ academic standing and history).

To successfully complete 的 major, note that:

• 的 University requires a grade of C- or better in 所有 classes that apply to a major or minor; however, programs may require higher minimum grades in specific courses, 就像荣誉一样. You may repeat an SPU course only once for a higher grade.
• 为了进入荣誉课程， you should meet with 的 honors director and/or your Honors faculty advisor regularly to discuss your grades, 课程进展, and o的r indicators of satisfactory academic progress. If your grades or o的r factors indicate that you may not be able to successfully complete 的 文科荣誉 major, 的 advisor can work with you to explore options, which may include choosing 的 文科辅修 and regular 通识教育 track instead.

文科辅修

• A minimum 30 credits are required for this minor, 包括15个高年级学分.
