Dr. Dainius Vaičekonis has an active performance career as a soloist and collaborative artist in the U.S. 和欧洲. He was a soloist with the 立陶宛n National Symphony, the University of Washington Symphony, 巴特蒙大拿交响曲, 布雷默顿交响乐团, 安吉利斯港交响乐, Skagit Symphony and 西雅图 Pacific University Symphony. The winner of the 弗朗西斯•沃尔顿 Award Tour Competition and the University of Washington Concerto Competition, he was also a prize winner in the International Franz Schubert Piano Competition in Dortmund, 德国.  

Dr. Vaičekonis earned degrees from the National Čiurlionis School of Art in Vilnius, the 立陶宛n Academy of Music, the Mozarteum Academy in Salzburg, Bowling Green State University, 俄亥俄州, and the University of Washington. His mentors include celebrated European and American artists and teachers Robin McCabe, 杰罗姆·罗斯, 尤吉斯Karnavič国际单位, Mūza Rubackytė and Gediminas Kviklys. He performed in the master classes of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Christian Zacharias. He was an artist in residence at the University of Washington School of Music.

Dr. Vaičekonis received a Gerberding Fellowship at the University of Washington. 他的论文, "The Forest for the Trees:  Beethoven piano sonatas as integrated cycles,” was published in 德国 in 2009. He has performed at Benaroya's Nordstrom Recital Hall, 小气鬼大厅, on “Live by George” at KING FM, “The Beat” at KUOW public radio, 雨伞, UW Summer Arts Festival, Franciscan Nights Festival in 俄亥俄州, and is a frequent performer in SPU's faculty concert series.

Dr. Vaičekonis has performed with the Vilnius String Quartet and with distinguished artists such as violinists Alexander Velinzon, Ilkka Talvi,  and Marjorie Kransberg-Talvi, flutists Edmund Paul Davies and Magali Mosnier-Karoui, 单簧管演奏家肖恩·奥斯本, and the Chamber Dance Company. He also performs extensively with his wife, Asta, as a piano duo. Their recent project, “Music for Two Pianos by Living Composers of 以色列, U.S., 和立陶宛,” was presented in the schools of 以色列 - Jerusalem Academy of Music, 比尔舍瓦温室, and Levinsky Pedagogical College in Tel Aviv.

He served as a judge in ENKOR, MTNA, 弗朗西斯•沃尔顿, and other competitions in the Pacific Northwest, as well as a coach for the Puget Sound Chamber Music Workshops in the 西雅图 Pacific University. He taught master classes in the Music Academy at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, 立陶宛, and in the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, 以色列. His students are successfully participating in festivals and competitions nationwide.

2014年,Dr。. Vaičekonis presented a lecture on and recital of legendary American pianist, 作曲家, and pedagogue Leopold Godowsky in his birthplace in 立陶宛. His next project is a lecture-recital and CD recording of the last three Beethoven piano sonatas.
