SPU honors the Class of 2023 at 艾薇切割 on Friday, June 9

西雅图 Pacific University’s annual pre-graduation tradition called “艾薇切割” will take place Friday, June 9, 10–11 a.m. in 蒂芙尼循环 在校园.

Begun as an "Ivy Planting" ceremony in 1922, this long-honored tradition involves hundreds of graduating seniors dressed in caps and gowns circling a rope of ivy, surrounded by family, 朋友, fellow students, 教师, 和工作人员. After a brief ceremony, each graduate receives a sprig of ivy, signifying both the student’s tie to SPU and the independence that comes with graduation.

SPU的 Undergraduate Commencement will be held Saturday, June 10, 10:30 a.m.–1 p.m. at T-Mobile Park. More than 1,000 students will graduate from SPU this spring. 

西雅图 Pacific University is located at the corner of Third Avenue West and West Nickerson Street, on the north slope of Queen Anne Hill. 蒂芙尼循环 is located at the corner of 3rd Avenue West and West Cremona Street.
