Kevin Bolding specializes in digital systems such as computers, microprocessors, and programmable logic devices. He is fascinated with designing devices and systems that are smaller, faster, and better. Dr. Bolding once worked on building the world’s fastest supercomputer, but now concentrates on small and efficient embedded systems.
Dr. Bolding has supervised nearly 100 engineering senior design projects, ranging from tiny wearable devices for U.S. consumers to full-scale wind turbines for communities in rural Africa.
Dr. Bolding originally hails from Texas, but has made 西雅图 his home for the past two decades. He became an emeritus professor of electrical engineering in 2020.
